Last week we returned from a wonderful holiday on the Istrian Coast in Croatia and Northern Italy. It was the perfect end to a long, warm summer as next week it´s back to school for the boys. We stayed in Umag, Croatia for a week, spent a day in Rovinj and travelled home via Triest (Mira Mare), Grado and Udine, Italy. Having grown up in Australia, I LOVE SUMMER! And I´m so happy to have discovered Istria where you can spend lazy days at the beach, surrounded by nature and without thousands of people around. The most wonderful moments were at sunset...watching my boys - who are all grown up theses days, being kids again.

Holidays

I've been reading your archives and following your awakening. You have accomplished wonderful things and I know you will continue to do so with such a wonderful man as Erich. I'm glad you had a wonderful trip as an end to summer.
It must be so wonderful living in Europe where in a few hours you are in a different country experiencing a different culture. There is sooo much history to absorb that I would be dizzy with remembering it all.

Never heard of Istria before, and after leaving comment on here last night, went to the hairdressers today, picked up a travel magazine and there was a full 3 pages!!! Very interesting and well worth a visit!! :-)
